Electronic Supervision Program
The Salvation Army Correctional & Justice Services believes that all people are capable of positive change. We partner with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (MCSCS) to facilitate the Electronic Supervision Program throughout the province of Ontario.
The goal is to meet clients in their home and offer them an alternative to incarceration by providing electronic monitoring. This allows clients to care for their children, attend work or school, or tend to ailing family members. This further permits clients to live with dignity, and carry on their community rather than remain incarcerated. This program obligations, allows the Salvation Army staff member to directly consult with the client regarding needs and supports they may benefit from in the community. This may include Family and Community Services and Corps locations.
